What is an Urgent Care Center?

An Urgent Care Center is a facility for expedient care and treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. When a non-emergent medical issue doesn't require an Emergency Room visit, or if you can't get in to see your doctor, you can visit Immediate Care East and get the care you need. If a patient is experiencing an acute life-threatening situation, the patient or a caregiver should immediately call 911 for assistance.

Do I need an appointment or referral?

No. No appointments or referrals are necessary. Simply walk in and you will be seen and treated by one of the licensed providers at Immediate Care East.

How long will a visit take?

Patients often seek care for non life-threatening situations at Immediate Care East because they receive excellent medical care in a timely manner - many visits take less than one hour.

Who will provide my medical care?

At Immediate Care East, you will be seen and treated by a licensed medical provider. Our providers are compassionate caregivers who are skilled in the treatment of non life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Many of our providers also work in the emergency rooms of local hospitals.

Will my Primary Care Provider (PCP) be aware of my visit?

Immediate Care East utilizes a state of the art Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system which enables us to communicate your medical records to your Primary Care Provider's office typically within one day of your visit, if you so choose. This allows your doctor to maintain the highest level of continuity of care for you and prevents gaps in your medical record.

Is Immediate Care East affiliated with any other Urgent Care Centers around Rochester?

No. Immediate Care East is an independent, locally-owned and managed urgent care center located in Perinton, New York, near Eastview Mall. We are not affiliated with any other urgent care center. Because we are independent, we can offer our patients a better experience and quicker turn-around times.

What if you do not accept my insurance?

If Immediate Care East is not contracted with your insurance company, you would initially need to pay as if you were a self-paying patient, but we will still see you for treatment and provide you with the appropriate paperwork for you to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

What if I do not have insurance?
